i've looked up the pdf spec and encoding tables:

the bullet should be at C+95 and the trademark at C+99 in cp1252,
the adobe glyph list gives the bullet at U+2022 and TM at U+2122
which is exactly what pdfapi2 encodes in latin1/cp1252 and what
i can verify from the corefont examples.

it would be interesting if the glyphs print correctly?
