Hi Rick & the list -

I'd be interested if you and anyone else would test printing any 
transparency-using pdf's - I did some testing a while back including 
using things like PNGs with alpha channel. Generated some 
apparently-good-looking (on screen) pdfs but when printed, one got 
"shadows" of the whole (rectangular) area where they overlapped other 
images so I couldn't do what I was after (combining photos and other 
bits of graphics such as drop-shadows as if stacked on a surface).
