Yes, when I was looking through the code, I noticed that it had it's own
way of deferring loading.  I thought, "Why doesn't it just use
AUTOLOAD?"  It turns out that it's way is faster.

I don't fully understand what it's doing and I don't have time to dig
deeper but I realize that it has a sophisticated mechanism and getting
it to load faster would involve considerable time and effort.
