That's a common problem with Perl nowadays. So many CPAN authors have moved
on and no longer work on Perl based stuff at all. There are tons of modules
that are version 0.0x and last updated over a decade ago. It feels like
there is a critical mass that has been reached to switch to Python or Ruby
or other technologies such as those :(
