O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference Call for Participation

Programmers, technologists, researchers, CTOs, CIOs, hackers, and 
entrepreneurs are invited to submit proposals to lead tutorial and 
conference sessions at the 3rd Annual O'Reilly Emerging Technology 
Conference slated for February 9-12, 2004 in San Diego, CA. 
Suggested topics include: Interfaces and Services, Social Software, 
Untethered, Location, Hardware, and Business Models, as a start.

Two pieces of news this week: first, Dr. Damian Conway will be 
giving a series of courses this September, his last training 
courses for the foreseeable future. The first courses are in 
Chicago, with two weeks of sessions covering all aspects of Perl 
programming. In late September and early October he'll be in 
Boston, giving three of his best-known classes.

And if you're one of the many using the wonderful Mail::SpamAssassin 
module to hold back the tide of junk email, you may not have heard 
that the OsiruSoft blacklist has shut down, marking everything it 
sees as spam. To correct this, edit your 20_head_tests.cf, and 
remove all lines containing the text "OSIRU". Another way of doing 
it is detailed below:
