[Boston.pm] social meeting with randal schwartz - thursday 5/4

hi all,

we have a (not so emergency) social meeting on this thursday, may 4th, 
with special guest, randal schwartz! it will be a potluck grilling party 
at my house in arlington center. bill ricker has graciously offered to 
convey randal here. i will send out the address later this week.

here are some thoughts and suggestions for the party.

please RSVP with what you intend to bring and how many guests. we need 
to know to plan things.

we will provide a potato salad, likely some beef (maybe some steaks!). i 
have a great spice rub i make for beef or chicken.

i will do the grilling and can cook most anything. if you bring chicken, 
boneless thighs are the best as they grill quickly and stay moist. i 
have some leftover homemade garlic/rosemary sauce to marinate it if you 
want. it is very good!

other food suggestions are the usual burgers and dogs with buns, cole 
slaw, green salad, fruit salad, kielbasa, sausage (bill ricker is 
allergic to red pepper so we can segregate hot food). i have plenty of 
mustard and ketchup and cheese for topping. chips and dips and other 
apps are welcome too.

you can arrive by 6pm and i expect we will be eating at 7pm or so.

randal mentioned imbibing. i can make frozen margaritas if someone 
brings the fixings - tequila, triple sec, limes. i have salt and plenty 
of ice and a vitamix. also frozen pina coladas are possible (i need a 
ripe fresh pineapple and coco lopez cream of coconut frozen in advance - 
we have rum.)

if the weather permits, we can eat outside on the deck.

i know of 5 attendees so far. make sure you rsvp soon (to the list is good).
