Technically a decision for PSC but I'll collect ideas from here: I'm
considering what the release schedule should look like for the 5.45.x
releases going into 5.46.

I think it's uncontentious to say that we slipped the timeline for 5.44
due to a number of factors, and would like to get back to "target May
20th" time for the 5.46 release. With that in mind, I think we have a
choice of two options to make:

Option 1) Perform the usual one-per-month bleadpoint releases, but do
one fewer of them this time to line up with that date

Option 2) Perform the same number of bleadpoint releases, but at a
slightly faster rate (at least, initially), so we can fit
            them in shorter time

In particular for this, I think if we did the next four
releases at about 3-week intervals instead of our usual
monthly cycle, we'd get 5.45.6 back out on track thereafter.

I have no firm opinion either way, so I'm happy to hear thoughts.

On a semi-related note: We're in need of volunteers to do these
releases, on whatever schedule we eventually pick. I've already started
the ball rolling with a 5.45.1 not even a week after the 5.44.0 release
(because we had a huge stack of PRs to roll in), so depending on our
decision above we could be looking at a 5.45.2 anywhere from August
13th to August 20th.

The releases earlier in the cycle at least tend to be lower stress and
easier tasks for new people to perform who maybe haven't done one
before but want to step in to help the process.
