[QA2012] IRC Meeting 2011-12-08

Hi,

Here's a quick summary of what was said on irc during this week's status
meeting for the Perl QA Hackathon 2012.

Progress:
- elbeho put the page dedicated to sponsors online at
  http://2012.qa-hackathon.org/qa2012/sponsors.html
- mdk will had EPO to that page
- BooK finalized and sent the budget for QA2011: 1061.31 EUR will be
  forwarded to QA2012
- elbeho sent the invoice to Splio (2000 EUR sponsor) and will soon
  add them to the sponsors page
- another sponsor (Hedera Technology) asked for more info
- elbeho is still waiting for feedback from the hotel (Citéa), and
  will contact them again soon.
- elbeho will open a PayPal account for "Les Mongueurs de Perl", which
  should make refunds to non-Eurozone participants somewhat easier
- the PayPal account will also be used to setup a "donate" button on
  the web site
- there was some discussions about bank fees for international transfers

Other things not mentionned during the meeting, or that happened after
- on November 24, mdk said he would contact TPF about sponsoring some US
  attendees, travel. No feedback yet.
- BooK contacted a company using Perl to ask for sponsorship. No reply yet.

    Thursday December 15th, 13:00 CET (Europe/Paris).

I won't be able to attend that meeting, as I'll be at my company end-of-year
event.
