Tcl::Tk and Tkx are based on Tcl bridge module, so they are exactly
similar WRT 8.5

I tried Tcl::Tk with miscellaneous 8.5-betas (successfully), but haven't
tried the release yet.


 I'm guessing that merging

I also guess this.
Tile, the flash of new 8.5, allowing native widgets and many more, never
 was ported to perl/Tk (AFAIK), so this is rather complicated task.
