not so much necessarily graphical,
and more of an equivalent to the
standard perl Makefile.PL; make...

OT question, since I'd also like the
capability of generating ppm's.

Is there a way of generating ppms
for `simple' cases (no xs, etc)
using the Perl on a typical linux distro?
[Ie. w/o running windows or installing
the entire active perl]
