The PONS dictionary department - a leading international dictionary publisher situated at Stuttgart (Germany) - is offering a full-time job at Stuttgart as computational linguist and project manager for dictionary projects.

The job will be
- to take part in the maintenance and further development of the department's special software
- to support the project manager's and authors in all issues concerning the special software and data processing/data modelling of the department
- to adapt existing XML Schemata and DTDs and to develop new ones
- to adapt data automatically to the requirements of new products and data licensing projects by writing or adapting adequate routines
- to offer technical support for data licensing projects (incl. testing of apps)
- to be the project manager of dictionary projects

The candidate should have

- an exam in computational linguistics, language technology or information science, ideally with a background in Romance languages
- a sufficient command of German and of French or Spanish
- practical programming experience in Perl, Java(script)
- a profound knowledge in XML, XSLT 2.0 und XML Schema
