Threads are much better for that concept than wiki IMO.  They let
people use the tools they are used to for discussing.

I looked at the wiki and scrolling down, adding my name to a thread
and my comments without the formatting commands I'm used to in my
email client just seemed so far out.

Another comment that Mark made WRT being able to edit what he said
after saying it on a wiki puts people's replies out of context.  

I like Wikis for the documentation side of things.  Every time I see
Q&A on a Wiki, I'd much rather there was a mailing list and someone
could then take it upon themselves to go incorporate the question and
the answer into some real documentation.

I'm not a big player here but I've loved watching the discussions and
seeing things evolve.  Moving to a wiki-based view at best makes
watching prothon evolve turn into following an RSS feed.  Even more
importantly, that RSS feed is useless unless people but a substantive
comment on what they are changing.  I usually follow Wiki RSS feeds
for projects where there's a new aspect I might not have known about.

That's good enough for Mark, probably good enough for Paul, hard to
judge wether that's interesting enough to click a link through to the
full page. It's also confusing to see who said what in reply to what.
