Admittedly, I am not an active participant here, but my 
observation is that your pronouncement about the Wiki may have 
chilled things a bit. My sense is that most users would prefer 
that discussions take place on the mailing list and not on the Wiki.

I can sympathize with your dilemma regarding the use of the Wiki 
versus the mailing list; I had the same issue arise when I was 
trying to organize and archive discussions for a group with which 
I was associated. As it turned out, keeping email-type discussions 
straight and organized on my Wiki turned out to be a nightmare. 
Users were comfortable with their email tools, but not with Wiki 
philosophy and usage. We ended up with a lot of essentially dead 
Wiki pages and not much 'value added'.

Since I didn't want to make a career out of Wiki-site content 
management, I ended up using the Wiki for less 'dynamic' content, 
such as user-editable documentation, RFCs, the tentative outcomes 
of email discussions, etc. For example, Prothon documentation (in 
the spirit of PHP's manual with user-contributed notes - 
http://www.php.net/manual/en/) would be an ideal candidate for the 
Wiki.
