I think you have pointed out the possibilities of using CPython and Stackless and it looks better than I've ever realized before. I see two basic problems. 1) It would be messy until the libraries were truly ported over to native Prothon. 2) Prothon would be closely linked with the Python community instead of expanding the community. Now one could argue that item 2 is a good thing or a bad thing. I've had people say "If Prothon is so much like Python why would I switch?" and I've had people say "Prothon has changed so much from Python I don't like it any more". Maybe some other people could chime in here? Comments?
