Transit directory on CRAN

Hello,

This morning I came across this directory,

    https://cloud.r-project.org/src/contrib/Transit/

which appears to contain the sources for five packages, albeit with a 
"-1" suffix appended to their version identifiers. I'm curious to know 
what is the purpose of this directory?
