NUG Survey Results

As you know, we conducted a survey over the past week to determine if we
should continue to keep the NUG open or if it would be appropriate to
direct NUG members to the forum. This came up because we have been seeing
an increasing number of unsubscribe requests in combination with
drastically reduced traffic on the NUG, as we mentioned on our survey. Of
the over 500 people on this list, just 7% responded to the survey that was
left open for more than a week and only 3% wanted to keep the NUG open,
while most indicated in the comments they liked the NUG but find the forum
just as valuable or a better avenue to get quicker (and more) responses. In
an effort to unify the community, we stopped allowing new subscriptions to
the NUG about 5-6 years ago. In that time, the vast majority of users have
transitioned to the forum without issues. We understand you like the format
of the mailing list, vs posting on a forum. Our forum allows you to set up
emails for posts you wish to follow and with over 400,000 posts there=E2=80=
=99s a
good chance you=E2=80=99ll find the answers you are looking for. If not, on=
e of our
nearly 20K members can help and the Xojo staff and engineers frequent the
forums regularly.

The NUG will remain open through the end of the month. As of February 1,
2019 we will close the mailing list.
