I agree with Sy. If there's a tradeoff involved between making it
easier on the official documentation team (or whomever's doing the doc
commits) vs. making it harder on contributors (via
login/captcha/email-confirmatio/whatever), I'd go with making it
harder on contributors. That is, there will be many more contributors
than committers, so it makes sense to spread out the workload.

If you make it *too* easy to add a comment, you probably are
needlessly setting yourself up for a lot of de-spamming work. (It's
possible that the php and mysql folks do quite a bit of housekeeping
that we don't know about -- dunno.)
