Looking at the RDoc output generated by my Rails app, I don't see any entries for private methods. Is this just an artifact of that way that RDoc is being used in Rails or is this an intrinsic limitation to the program? If it's the latter, I'd like to suggest that it be made into an option, so that developers can view their private methods. After all, they can view the method calls in RDoc, so the API isn't being hidden. Also, they can see the source code to the methods, outside of RDoc. More generally, I'd be happy to hear about pointers to documentation on the design and use of RDoc. -r -- http://www.cfcl.com/rdm Rich Morin http://www.cfcl.com/rdm/resume [email protected] http://www.cfcl.com/rdm/weblog +1 650-873-7841 Technical editing and writing, programming, and web development
