Email validator? (Not email address validator)

I have a problem where some email I am creating via

smtp.send_message mailtext

works on some email viewers and hangs others. That is, the email goes out and shows up in email viewers but has the problem described above.

Is there a program "out there" that will validate the above-mentioned mailtext to see it meets standards?
