Hallo Ralf, hello everybody, I´ve got a problem... I just installed MacOS X 10.2 on my Powerbook and downloaded several Ruby related software ( RubyStudio 0.2 by GrandCanyon, ruby-1.6.7, rubycocoa-0.3.2 with a install.rb file and a ruby-cocoa -0.3.2 folder  with a RubyCocoa 0.3.2.pkg file and two folders named RubyCocoa and RubyAEOSA, MacOs X DeveloperTools are installed also. What do I need out of this?) This is my first step into Ruby and MacOs X and I have experience in programming only with JavaScript and some MEL (MayaEmbededLanguage). So, I have no idea how to get started on my mashine. I tried to run RubyStudio ( I copyed/pasted a "Hello world!" script) just nothing happened... All the install help was no help for me. Where do I find /usr/local/... to put ruby 1.6.7 there? Does anybody work with Ruby on the MacOsX? Can you please give me a step by step guide... just to get some reaction when I put "Hello world" in the editor RubyStudio? A big pre thank you Oliver / Kassel / Germany -- e° Oliver Endemann Diplom Industrie-Designer Produkt- und Mediengestaltung Leibnizstrasse 10 34121 Kassel Tel.: +49.561.28 88 500 Mobil: +49.172.29 18 618 Kunsthochschule Universitaet Kassel [email protected] [email protected] __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
