Admittedly, I've probably misread something, and am suffering the=20
consequences ....

I'll go ahead and removed the Sather installation and start again,=20
using your instructions above. Thanks

I'd be happy just getting the compiler working from emacs. The=20
browser would be a bonus, but nice to have.

I'm impressed with VMware on this Win7 laptop. The Ubuntu distro=20
runs with zero issues, as do all the other compilers, editors etc=20
that I've installed. It's as if I was working on a standalone Linux=20
box, but in actual fact, it's only a window on the Win7 desktop!=20
