Hi people! Doug Way <[email protected]> wrote: [SNIP] > I agree that we probably shouldn't rely on Bert's server long-term. > Brent's UI is quite nice, though, and maybe we could switch the back-end > to something else at some point. (Could be based on SqueakMap, > Monticello, or just a bunch of files on a server.) Unfortunately I'm I and Brian Rice are currently working on SM1.1. We are on the #squeak channel on IRC. The basic synch mechanism in SM could easily be used for some other model - and it also maintains a simple persistency mechanism on the server. I also have root on the squeakfoundation.org server and have just added proper /etc/init.d/scripts so that SqueakMap autostarts etc. All these things can be easily reused for Brent's tool if he is interested. I can gladly help out with advice etc. Just mail me or shout. regards, Göran From [email protected] Fri Jun 06 09:06:50 2003 Return-Path: <[email protected]> Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: (qmail 23288 invoked from network); 6 Jun 2003 09:06:50 -0000 Received: from iramx1.ira.uni-karlsruhe.de (141.3.10.80) by mail.theinternetone.net with SMTP; 6 Jun 2003 09:06:50 -0000 Received: from acb01d5d.ipt.aol.com ([172.176.29.93] helo=i09nbmarcus.ira.uka.de) by iramx1.ira.uni-karlsruhe.de with asmtp (Exim 3.30 #10 (Debian)) id 19ODBQ-00047z-00; Fri, 06 Jun 2003 11:06:49 +0200 Received: from marcus by i09nbmarcus.ira.uka.de with local (Exim 3.33 #2 (Debian)) id 19OD9F-00011x-00; Fri, 06 Jun 2003 11:04:33 +0200 Date: Fri, 6 Jun 2003 11:04:32 +0200 From: Marcus Denker <[email protected]> To: Discussing the Squeak Foundation <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Squeakfoundation] Harvesting infrastrucure Message-ID: <[email protected]> References: <[email protected]> <[email protected]> <[email protected]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[email protected]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.4.1i X-BeenThere: [email protected] X-Mailman-Version: 2.1 Precedence: list Reply-To: Discussing the Squeak Foundation <[email protected]> List-Id: Discussing the Squeak Foundation <squeakfoundation.lists.squeakfoundation.org> List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/listinfo/squeakfoundation>, <mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/squeakfoundation> List-Post: <mailto:[email protected]> List-Help: <mailto:[email protected]?subject=help> List-Subscribe: <http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/listinfo/squeakfoundation>, <mailto:[email protected]?subject=subscribe> X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 06 Jun 2003 09:06:50 -0000 On Fri, Jun 06, 2003 at 10:53:52AM +0100, [email protected] wrote: > I also have root on the squeakfoundation.org server and have just added > proper /etc/init.d/scripts so that SqueakMap autostarts etc. > Hey, now that is good: I need to do two things: 1) The wiki-mirror need to be removed from my account at the university. squeakfoundation is the perfect place for that. This is a simple cron-job, using httrack. 2) the CVS at sourceforge only allows ssh for developers, and pserver is blocked by many firewalls. I'd like to set up a cron-job to checkout the sources each night, and then build a .zip from it. Marcus -- Marcus Denker [email protected] -- Squeak! http://squeak.de
