Well, I talked to Craig on IRC and we came to the conclusion that even though the bug is there and can pop up if the search String ends up on a buffer boundary (buffer size is 2000) we can't say for sure that we have been bitten by it. So we can simply ignore it. I could include the new versions of these methods as "loose methods" in 1.09 of SqueakMap - not sure what we think about that though. Or I could rewrite the methods and put them somewhere else than in StandardFileStream of course - but that feels like a hack. Note: The thoughts above are related to the fact that people will download 3.6 and possibly upgrade SqueakMap to 1.09, but they will perhaps not load updates (to get the FIX through the updatestream). > > 2. If it is ok with you then it will be best if you announce it on squeak-dev when you know the exact moment we have "take off". Then pick an interval for the party like -6 hours -> +6 hours or something. :-) regards, Göran
