I didn't realize that MoreFileFixes-nk was already in the update 
stream until I just checked.

I've just posted a FileListRefactor1-nk change set that should be 
considered for 3.4; it just moves a couple of methods onto the class 
side of FileList so that it's possible to use the services from 
elsewhere.
