Greetings. I'm trying to port my Run BASIC system from Seaside 2.8 (I think) to 3.1 on VisualWorks. I have run into a bunch of issues which for the moment I manage to sidestep and I have the system limping along. First question though is, how many people here are still using Seaside? Is this the best place to connect? I heard there is supposed to be a Discord group? I looked there and didn't find anything. On very specific technical question I have right now is how to programmatically change the port number on the seaside server (on VisualWorks) from inside my app? This is easy enough in the older version of Seaside, but so far it has eluded me in the latest version? I will keep digging but any help appreciated. I hope that there are still a good core of Seaside users here. Thanks. -Carl Gundel, author of Run BASIC http://www.runbasic.com --000000000000080b74062e5bf0a1 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr">Hey all,<div><br></div><div>It's been a while to say t= he least.=C2=A0 Greetings.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm trying to port = my Run BASIC system from Seaside 2.8 (I think) to 3.1 on VisualWorks.</div>= <div><br></div><div>I have run into a bunch of issues which for the moment = I manage to sidestep and I have the system limping=C2=A0along.</div><div><b= r></div><div>First question though is, how many people here are still using= Seaside?=C2=A0 Is this the best place to connect?=C2=A0 I heard there is s= upposed to be a Discord group?=C2=A0 I looked there and didn't find any= thing.</div><div><br></div><div>On very specific technical question I have = right now is how to programmatically change the port number on the seaside = server (on VisualWorks) from inside my app?=C2=A0 This is easy enough in th= e older version of Seaside, but so far it has eluded me in the latest versi= on?=C2=A0 I will keep digging but any help appreciated.</div><div><br></div= ><div>I hope that there are still a good core of Seaside users here.</div><= div><br></div><div>Thanks.</div><div><br></div><div>-Carl Gundel, author of= Run BASIC</div><div><a href=3D"http://www.runbasic.com">http://www.runbasi= c.com</a></div></div> --000000000000080b74062e5bf0a1-- --===============2394580095148336678== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ seaside mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] --===============2394580095148336678==--
