For some reason Cincom is not supporting PUL and that decision most probably comes from a higher authority than Cincom Smalltalk.

That’s Cincoms call.

So to play with VisualWorks that will cost about 500 bucks per year.

I pay about 160 for IntelliJ per year and it’s not Smalltalk.

Would I pay for more than twice that ? Maybe.

Cincom is not in the promote Smalltalk business at least not via gaining popularity via open source and the like strategies.

 of course Pharo is , which has overall become a pretty impressive option. When I used it more heavily I became a consortium member and sent them 100 bucks.
