--- NEW FILE: README-1.0 ---
The is the fifth pre-release version of eXene 1.0.  We know that it compiles
under SML/NJ 109.26+ and that it works on OSF/1, Irix, SunOS, Solaris, Linux
and HPUX.  For the most part, the API is the same as the 108.5 version.
