compiling smlnj

So in my attempt to mod sml -nj I had a few problems, so I downloaded  
110.68 and started from scratch.
I modified Unix/os-path.sml and re-compiled.

Now I get the following error, and I think this only occurs for nl- 
ffi, but I'm no positive.

library $c/internals/c-int.cm is stable]
Error: Compiler bug: UnpickMod: stub lookup failed
/usr/local/smlnj/bin/sml: Fatal error -- Uncaught exception Error with 0


Naturally I'm going to start over, however I'm wondering if someone  
might have a clue as to what went wrong with the build process that I  
would get this error.
