Hello John, I installed openSUSE packages glibc-devel-32bit which 
contains stubs-32.h and gcc-32bit the 32 bit compiler.  The SML/NJ 
installation went well, but when I tried to execute CM.make "pi.cm"; 
I received an "Error: Compiler bug: UnpickMod: stub lookup failed 
for environment" :
