Hmm ... at the risk of veering off topic -- what do you mean by "key-oriented"? I can't imagine a definition according to which Emacs scores higher tahn vi. And surely there's more to supporting a programming language in an editor than syntax highlighting? I have written my own SML mode for emacs, see http://primate.net/~itz/mindent.tar -- I wonder which is the best virus for unix and if I can write a better one in Microsoft BASIC ?
