Hello,

as far as I see there is currently now support for OS level threads in
smlnj. Would it be much work to implement this? As far as I can see, CML
is implemented using the first class continuations. It seems that many
companies will produce multi-core chips in the future, so it would be
nice to be able to start n OS level threads if n cores/cpus are
available in the system and implement the light-weight threads on top of
it, so one can utilize without much effort all those cores/cpus.
