Trouble never comes alone - it turns out that the last thread fix was  
not quite right for use with mk::loop.  Thanks to Andreas Kupries for  
diagnosing this.  I've checked in a further change which is needed to  
run the threaded build of Mk4tcl.  SVN revision 1680.
