yes I've read this. But I hoped to find the sources somewhere 
in http://www.equi4.com/pub/tk/8.4.12/ coming along with the binaries there.

Surely I can try to reconstruct source from sourceforge but with some
uncertainty:

as http://www.equi4.com/pub/tk/tars/ is telling us. I don't know what diffs
have been applied to 8.4.12 to produce the binaries.

But anyway no problem. I will try my luck.
