I can reproduce this only in the following way:
I have a class annotated with a comment.
1. Click on the diagram on the class (or one of its attributes). The properties
tab is visible for the class (attribute).
2. Click on the comment edge (not the comment itself). Now the properties tab
deselects itself and the ToDo Item tab is shown.
3. Click on the tab of the properties panel. This shows the properties of the class.
But in the diagram, the comment edge is still indicated as selected.
4. Pressing the garbage icon in the properties panel deletes the class.
Ludger, is this indeed the described problem?
If so, then this is not a P2 problem, but a P3.
