The use cases I was describing were primarily oriented around the use of packages in the Project tree.  I 
agree with Bob, though.  When I see a package in a diagram, I expect to see the entire path.  

That's one thing that bugs me about the package select box in the Properties tab.  You only see the 
package name and not the entire path.  This makes selection of a package particularly difficult in cases 
where the child package name is the same. For example, if you have com.google.collections, and 
org.apache.commons.collections, you will see two entries in the select box -- both of which say: 
"collections".  This is already documented in another issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning again.
