Yet another example of where the OMG puts together a standard that's the opposite of people's expectations. When I look at the diagram, it makes sense that the employeeList should be closest to the Department object because it's going to be a member of that class. Putting it at the other end makes no visual sense. The same can be said about having the spade end of the association in the Department class.
