It would make it easier and faster to create packages, if you could specify the entire path to a package, 
and have all subpackages generated at once. The use case would work something like this:

(1) Select "Create Model Element/Package". from the contextual menu in the project tree.
(2) A dialog pops up letting you specify the package name, a "sticky" checkbox at the bottom of the dialog 
lets you automatically add it to the current diagram. By "sticky" I mean that the state of the checkbox is 
preserved in preferences so that you don't have to keep re-selecting it.
(3) If the user enters "org/argouml/something", then the entire package structure is generated.  The 
separators can be either file separators, UML ("::") or java/c++/c# package separators.  If the user 
currently has the "org" package selected, then only the subpackages are generated.
