I’d forgotten how I managed to add an attribute, since I can’t do it from the browser: answer, by clicking on 
the ‘New Attribute’ button.

Anyway, DataTypes in OMG UML Superstructure 2.4.1 are in section 7.3.11: "A DataType may contain 
attributes to support the modeling of structured data types”.

I’ve got round this by just using a Class and stereotyping it <<datatype>>.
