I just reproduced this.

The clue is in the stack dump here -
"Plugin profile "UML 2.2" is not available in installation"

I started Argo using the argouml2.bat file, saved a project and then started
argo with argouml.bat to open the file.

The problem is the argouml2.bat runs argouml in the experimental and incomplete
UML2 mode (you would have got a warning message telling you this when the
application opened).

Restarting ArgoUML in its normal supported UML1.4 mode cannot read this file.

Hopefully if you start ArgoUML in UML2 mode you can read this file but that
version is not yet supported so I wouldn't recommend using UML2 in argo for any
production work. There are many diagrams types not complete and those that are
are not yet fully tested.

I'll leave this defect open to try and make this error message more meaningful
to the user.

Linus - we thought it might be useful for user to have an early view of UML2 but
maybe we should consider removing it entirely from the stable distribution and
leave it in dev releases only. What do you think? Could you handle that?
