Installation stalls on OS X 10.4.10

Hi

I am a clueless newbie.
My configuration is
iMac Intel based
OS X 10.4.10
Java 1.4.2

I downloaded ArgoUML-0.24, then dbuml-complete-1.0.2 from SourceForge 
and even dbuml-complete-1.0.1.
Opening argouml.jar launches the Installer which stalls each time at the 
stage "Making Project Browser: Explorer".

The argouml.log says "WARN: Unable to load configuration 
/Users/nickdaum/argo.user.properties (ConfigurationProperties.java:107)"
The argo.user.properties file was actually created but is empty. I 
trashed it and retried with the same result.

Is the file argo.user.properties available somewhere? It wasn't in the 
download package.
I couldn't find it with Google.
