Thanks for the insight!

I use the Statechart diagram to create a Workflow in Plone (with
ArchgenXML). And in my workflow I need to be able to revert to the initial
state (let's call it Draft).

I think a simple way of resolving this issue, is having the transition
between the initial state and a second state (Draft) made automatically.
This way I can work with "Draft" state as the initial (at least for the user
point of view!).

But this is probably an issue more suitable for Plone mailing list ;)
