I think there may well be a communication problem here.

Are you saying
a) That you are trying to write your own plugin to integrate ArgoUML
with eclipse
b) You have the source of ArgoUML in eclipse and are trying to run
ArgoUML from there

Standard ArgoUML has an option to generate your UML model from source
code (which can generate some diagrams if you wish). Use
File->ImportSources...

It can also create java source code from you UML model. See the generation menu.

I don't know if argoeclipse has integrated all that functionality yet.

You can also investigate using ArgoUML to create your models and then
use http://www.andromda.org/ to generate your code.
