Wi.Ser is a free Java/XML server-side GUI-framework which enables an application to run as either a monolithic Swing app, a client/server Swing app, or as a Web app without any change! The framework uses XML to define an application's GUI. It provides a common widget-based, object-oriented programming interface for Web and Swing based GUIs. The project includes a GUI builder that is based on the framework's functionality. This release implements object pooling and pre-parsing of XML GUI configurations. The effect is a massive performance increase (4 times faster) for multiple Web application startup and HTML rendering. The server load during Swing application startup is significantly reduced. Furthermore, this release fixes some internal synchronisation problems.
