    The java.net site has published an article titled "Laszlo: An Open=20=

Source Framework for Rich Internet Applications" by William Grosso.

   William writes:

    LZX, the language that Laszlo programs are written in, is a hybrid=20=

language that looks a lot like XHTML. LZX has an XML tag syntax to=20
define pages and user interface constructs, and uses JavaScript for=20
procedural logic and state variables. This has two significant=20
benefits:

   =E2=96=AA   It's easy to read. Laszlo programs often look like very =
clean=20
HTML programs.
   =E2=96=AA  JavaScript is a very well-known programming language, with =

loosely typed interpretation model. It works very well for defining=20
client applications.
