Hello everyone, After being continually distracted by playing Savage and World of Warcraft, figuring out what to do with the desktop version of Jazilla and other things, I've finally managed to create an XUL engine for mobile devices. At the moment this is a very basic engine, you can create a label (<description/>) and buttons (<button/>), but more widgets will come soon. I intend to have both the desktop and mobile versions running under some sort of abstraction layer for UI stuff. For desktop, I've chosen SwingWT so we can use SWT without rewriting everything, currently not sure what to do about mobile, since there isn't any SWT ports to use SwingWT under yet. JavaScript among others will also be an issue. The performance isn't too bad. Runs alright under POSE (Palm OS 4 Emulator) and under my Treo 600. Heres a screenshot: http://jazilla.mcbridematt.dhs.org/jazilla-palmos.jpg I'll put up sourcecode and binaries for everyone to try out soon. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: NEC IT Guy Games.
