    Allow me to clarify my position:

1) I do not thing XUL, the creation of Mozilla, is the only valid XUIL. 
In fact, depending on the circumstances, there may be XUILs better 
suited to the specific requirements of a poster than XUL.

2) I would strongly point out that XUL is a trademark of Mozilla, and 
that Mozilla's XUL has no other name.

3) I support discussions of alternatives to XUL and welcome any messages 
to that effect.

4) If someone uses the term "XUL" to refer to XUILs in general, I may 
disagree with the use of the specific term, but I can overlook it if 
they make it clear what they mean by the term.

    My objection to your previous message had nothing to do with your 
discussion other XUILs. My concern is that the ambiguity about what you 
meant by "XUL" could lead people to think that the alternatives you were 
discussing were compatible with XUL. You moved the subject away from one 
specifically tied to Mozilla's XUL to a larger pool of technologies 
without giving any indication in the message that you had done so. I 
would not have objected if you had made it clear that you were talking 
about alternates to XUL and not alternative client and server 
implementations that supported Mozilla's XUL.
