the memory limit is 128 MB. just to try i increased it to 164 MB but it
did not help.

i did change log settings to:
error_reporting = E_ALL
display_errors = On
display_startup_errors = On
log_errors = On
error_log = /tmp/php-error.log

it did not help to see what is going on and why the right side of
webpage is blank.

i remain clueless. but hopeful for some inspiration :)
