Category: None Group: 0.9.8 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Accepted Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Steve Pomeroy (xxvelcrar) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: default css uses pt-size font Initial Comment: The default CSS file specifies the base font size using "pt" which is inappropriate for use in websites. "pt" is a physical unit of measure akin to inches and is only useful when the rest of the layout is also specified in inches. As the layout is otherwise specified in pixel units or relative units, it would make more sense to use these units instead if absolute units are required. See http://staticfree.info/blog/web/pointlessFontSizes.comments for a more in-depth explanation and why using "pt" sizes is not recommended. The attached screenshot comes from a rendering in Firefox on a 127DPI screen. The text is much too large for the display. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Deon George (wurley) Date: 2009-03-20 18:33 Message: Thanks - changed pt to px fonts in CVS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498546&aid=2562392&group_id=61828 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
