Category: None Group: 1.2.x Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Marc-André Gosselin (mizaring) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Unable to add object under Organization container Initial Comment: When I create an object with objectclass=organization under my LDAP tree I'm unable to add any child to it. I received the error "the container xxx is a leaf". However an object of type objectclass=organization should be allowed to be a container. In fact it should be the user's choice to determine which objectclass should be containers or leaves only. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marc-André Gosselin (mizaring) Date: 2009-10-08 14:59 Message: Kumba : When the right pane open with a choice of template you can choose "default", then in the new window that will open you'll have the opportunity to add a child item. This ain't a bug, it's by design. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Joshua Kinard (kumba) Date: 2009-10-08 14:17 Message: I can't verify that this is fixed in 1.2.0.4. I have a pretty clean LDAP tree, using X.500 notation (o=blah). If I have only the organization defined, but no children, and I click on the organization, then the right-hand window pane pops up with selections to edit an object, providing only a few templates. No ability to create objects under the organization are available. If I use the ldap tools to add an organizational unit underneath the organization, then I can create further children _under_ the organization. But if I try to click on the OU that lies directly under the org, the right-hand window only pops up template offerings to edit objects -- not actually create new ones under that OU. I checked against an older copy of PLA 1.1.0.7, and that works good there. When clicking on the empty OU in there, I get the screen that lets me edit/delete the OU, as well as create children objects underneath of it. I think this fits in with this bug, so I think it needs to be re-opened and a second look given. If it needs a new bug entirely, please let me know and I'll file one. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marc-André Gosselin (mizaring) Date: 2009-09-19 21:32 Message: Thanks for the quick fix! How much time before the change is in the git repository? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Deon George (wurley) Date: 2009-09-19 20:39 Message: Found and fixed with commit d07423ff ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marc-André Gosselin (mizaring) Date: 2009-09-19 19:53 Message: After make some tests I realized that all objects seems to have this problem. I am unable to add any object under an object that has not at least 1 child. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498546&aid=2862409&group_id=61828 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
