¿Did you change anything like enabling anonymous bind or adding an ACI to some tree of the directory or it just worked by default?

Maybe is related to the library version of the php_ldap package.

I have setup a 389 Directory Server (1.2.6a2), and the PickList() works as expected.

IE: If a create an event several branches down (ou=ab,ou=a,ou=People,dc=example,dc=com), the PickList correctly finds the posixGroup at the top of the branch. (Using '/' as the search parameter.)
